This Award is for a Site or Company demonstrating the best new idea or initiative to drive improvements in Health and Safety Systems or behaviours, address or manage a specific hazard, create a design solution to address a problem, or to improve productivity.
To improve the safety of ladder use and reduce the number of ladder related accidents in the work environment, Heightsafe NZ designed and produced a new ladder bracketing system. The bracketing system is permanently fixed and allows the user to lock the ladder into place prior to using.
The bracket is now being utilised by numerous Companies throughout Australasia.
